alanM is originally from Glasgow and was an early convert to machine made music.

From the soundscapes of Kraftwerk and Brian Eno, through the rush of the rave years, things have come full circle, with a renewed interest in beatdown ambient electronica as well as the 'deep techno' scene currently blowing up in places like Glasgow and Detroit. Current favourite labels include; Headspace, Iridite, Kompakt, Hefty, Mahogani and Ampoule.
