Peepshow mailout

Hi all,

Hope you're well. Just letting you know a few dates for the diary - another Peepshow night at Neighbourhood in August, and a few festivals I'll be at over the summer. There's even a few ticket giveaways, so please read on...

FESTIVALS

17-20 July
Latitude Festival

First up this coming weekend, I'll be taking the Disco Shed out for it's first trip of the year, to Latitude, where we'll be running every day of the whole weekend in Pandora's Playground. Tickets have sold out but if you're lucky enough to have one, be sure to say hello!


23-27 July
Secret Garden Party

No shed, but back again at my most enjoyed weekend of last summer, the brilliant Secret Garden Party, where I'll again be taking a place in the Laroca Soundsystem. I think that's my only gig there but you never know what might happen there... Just so long as we don't miss Grace Jones!


1-3 August
The Big Chill

The Disco Shed makes it's return to our favourite festival. I believe a few tickets are still available, so don't miss out! With Leonard Cohen, the Mighty Boosh, Thievery Corporation & Trentmøller Live just for starters, it looks like another brilliant weekend in store. and the weather is always good so get involved!


22-25 August
Beachdown

Another trip out for the in-demand Disco Shed! Beachdown is a new addition to the festival calendar, and a most welcome one given its cracking line-up. Again, I believe tickets are still available, and seem a snip at £85.


29-31 August
Festinho *TICKET GIVEAWAY*

Festinho is the UK's best and most friendly small festival. Ok, I might be biased as I book the acts but for such small affair for which all profits go to charity, it's a great event. We've a lovely new site at Kentwell Hall and this year, we're giving away 2 sets of 4 tickets, all you have to do is sign-up on the website - for more details see below:

Disco Shed Soundsystem at the Westbury

Our occasional Disco Shed Soundsystem nights have been going really well at the Old Queen's Head in Islington and it's sister pub The Westbury in Kilburn. We take the festival shed vibe indoors, and luckily for us - the national press have been taking notice, with recommendations from both the Guardian Guide and Time Out!

This time, we have the mighty Soul Jazz Soundsystem, and ambient legend Dr. Alex Paterson from the Orb guesting for us at what should be another belter. Get down early!

PEEPSHOW @ Neighbourhood, with Introducing...

Thanks to everyone who came down and made the return of Peepshow such a resounding success back in May. I'm delighted to report they've asked us back to Notting Hill, the night before carnival for what should be a busy night.

I'm especially excited to be hostng a unique and exclusive show - a completely live performance of DJ Shadow's seminal Entroducing album by Introducing, a new act put together by members of Peepshow favourites the Second Whorl. They are recreating this seminal album in it's entirety, completely live and without a sampler in sight. So, the drum patterns, the vocal samples, everything will be played by a real band - something Shadow himself has never even attempted. Ambitious? Just a bit but if anyone can pull it off, they can... Keep your eyes peeled for more info, and a ticket giveaway, but get this in the diary now - I'm already very excited about it!
